What is IEE?
Iglesia Evangelica Emanuel (IEE) is a church and food pantry located in Chicago’s Belmont-Cragin neighborhood. Our mission is holistic approach to ministry providing the spiritual and physical needs of our community through the sharing of the gospel and provision of social services.
The Food pantry operates every monday from 9am to 1pm and serves 1800 families, a dramatic increase in the wake of the covid-19 pandemic. Our clients choose from fresh, canned, and frozen items representing all of the food groups. The Greater Food Depository Chicago produce mobile offers additional fresh produce to 220 families on the second Thursday of each month. IEE also runs a home delivery program for 60 families who are unable to travel to the pantry to do being homebound or having disabilities.
